From Streets to Summits
Wilderness Way Project's Mission Statement
At the Wilderness Way Project, our mission is to empower individuals experiencing homelessness by equipping them with practical skills, self-reliance, and the confidence to thrive in society. We provide hands-on training in trades such as fence building, staining, landscaping, and food-producing gardening, alongside essential life skills like preparing proper meals, preserving food, and building safe shelters to withstand Washington’s harsh weather.
Our program is designed not only to help people survive, but to prepare them for long-term success—by instilling work ethic, craftsmanship, and resilience. Graduates of the Wilderness Way Project leave with the skills needed to secure and maintain employment, contribute to their communities, and move forward with dignity and independence.
